engstKabel GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 2016 by Managing Partner Dr.-Ing. Wilhelm Engst. The concept of rubber cables with highly flexible aluminium conductors was already developed around 20 years ago. As as result, the innovative ALUKAFLEX® cable concept is now the main focus of business activities. The ALUKAFLEX® aluminium cables consist of highly flexible, fine-wire aluminium conductors (class 5, according to DIN VDE 0295, or IEC 60228) and are sheathed in high-quality rubber or PUR materials. Combined with reliable aluminium connection technology, they form an innovative cable concept that makes work significantly easier for professional and industrial users and lowers costs. The cables are up to 60% lighter than conventional rubber hose cables with copper conductors and have at least an equivalent current carrying capacity for the same cross-section thanks to the sheath and insulation materials used, which are particularly resistant to temperature and weathering effects. This makes the ALUKAFLEX® product range ideal for temporary and mobile power supply solutions, for example on construction sites and for events, and for mechanical engineering applications that require highly flexible electric cables.
